Terms of service

Draft pending legal review. This text describes how Yakkery is built to work; it is not yet a binding agreement.

Your content

You own what you post. By posting you give Yakkery a license to store, display, and distribute it on Yakkery, including in the browser extension and in search, for as long as it's posted.

Who can use Yakkery

You must be at least 13. Members under 18 get a locked account, messages from their circle only, and no adult content.

Acceptable use

Follow the content policy. Don't scrape, spam, evade rate limits, impersonate others, or interfere with the service.

Moderation and appeals

We may remove content, label it, or limit or suspend accounts that break the rules. Every action is explained to you and can be appealed, and a different moderator decides the appeal.

Copyright

We respond to valid DMCA notices against posts and media, with a counter-notice process and a repeat infringer policy. Page records are addresses, not content, and are not removed by takedowns.

Ending your account

You can export your data and delete your account at any time from settings. Deletion has a 30-day grace period.

The dispute resolution and governing law sections are pending review by counsel.
